American Vintage, which is ironically the brainchild of French designer Michael Azoulay, is known for its high-quality basics and wardrobe must-haves.
A BIT ABOUT ITS HISTORY
A BIT ABOUT ITS HISTORY
The styles inspired by the US in the early 2000’s, reflect a perfect combination of Californian cool and South of France flair. Since its launch in 2005, the brand transformed the basic tee, and it’s now a style essential in every woman’s wardrobe.
A BIT ABOUT ITS FOUNDER
A BIT ABOUT ITS FOUNDER
Michael Azoulay was born in 1978 in Marseille; with a professional baccalaureate in electricity & airconditioning, after a few odd jobs as a pizza delivery man and in construction, he became “by chance” a jeans seller, then created the women’s line Ana Paola in September 2001, specialising in knitting.
“I wanted to create my own line. Someone saw me working and encouraged me to try my luck.”
A BIT ABOUT ITS ETHOS
A BIT ABOUT ITS ETHOS
With a seasonless approach to style, American Vintage believes in the power of letting its high-quality everyday staples speak for themselves. On top of making a strong case for ignoring trends, the brand is also developing actions to forge a more sustainable model, working towards natural production methods that are both eco-friendly and fashion-forward.
OEKO-TEX certified (a label that guarantees the absence of chemicals in fabrics), American Vintage’s production is free from substances harmful to the body and the environment. The majority of each collection is imagined in plant-based fabrics and natural fibers. The brand is also fur-free.
